EMZ supplied a 1,700 kW three-phase squirrel cage motor for an Egyptian power plant. The high-voltage motor was designed to be installed on the existing foundation without modifications. Owing to the fan’s extremely large external moment of inertia, our experts selected a special rotor design to ensure a reliable run-up.
