The modularly constructed slip ring rotor in size 1.000 mm is supplied together with a base frame and replaces an existing drive in size 1.500 mm. The delivery was 100% interchangeable, so that commissioning could be carried out in the shortest possible time without any modifications. Due to a breakdown of the motor to be replaced during the production phase, the delivery date had to be shortened by 14 weeks. Thanks to the excellently implemented special measures and the smooth production process, our EMZ service team was able to commission the 46.000 kg drive in June 2019 successfully. As this project for EMZ is the largest motor ever delivered, we can be doubly proud of ourselves for having delivered such a large engine in such a short time.
